CYCI#109 A Color Challenge, FMF226

I had so much fun creating this card. My grand daughters were here this past week. We started talking about the endearing names I've given them. Gwen, 3 year old, I've always called her my little pumpkin. Lillian I started to call her my little bunny. Since this is Grammy's Designs I figured I should start designing kid stuff for them.

For their mommy's first Halloween she was a bunny rabbit. I made the head mask and used PJ's for the body. Every year her grandma sent her a bunny rabbit with funny feet. Guess those fond memories made it into this design.

The baby bunting rabbit element is made on the silhouette. The face and bunny eyes are drawn with sketch pens before cutting. All other pieces are cut from scraps, two colors of yellow and two colors of turquoise. The banner also has a white sketch pen sentiment "Baby's First Easter". This element is available in my shop soon.

I have used glitter papers on the top of a white 5.5 x 5.5 inch card. The yellow sky is from the Paper Studio - Little Safari collection.

What's with the name?

In 2012 I became a grandma. My daughter asked me what I wanted my granddaughter to call me. I never thought about this. I guess to keep things straight she could call me Grandma Henry. This might confuse her since she has a great grandma. I told my daughter that Gwen would name me. She did, I'm sure with the help of her mommy. I became Gammy and as she got older the "R" was added. Grammy, Grammy, Grammy.

When I retired I began making more cards. Many of them were with her in mind. My specialty is the popup form of cards. That has led me into a lot of research with the hopes of creating a popup book for my grand "children". This includes my nieces children.
